Georgia and Granville Streets, Vancouver
This first piece I brought back is from around 1930 and features the 2nd Hotel Vancouver, the Birks building, and the Medical Dental Building. The funny thing is that I don't think I was the only one there with a time machine that day!
Not all of these buildings existed at the same time together. This is more of a 'greatest hits' of early 1900's Vancouver architecture. I'll let you have fun figuring out which buildings never lived with each other.
Relics Reborn, sounds like a Beachcombers reference, but why? Would you believe that my family lives in Robert Clothier's old house and that all the work above was created in the office that 'Relic' designed and built himself? It just felt fitting to give tribute to the man I never met who constantly inspires me.
